Bachelor Button - Find Florists in India - Charming Flowers

When growing bachelor buttons, take advantage of their indoor uses as cut or dried flowers. Once the flower is cut, it offers a long-lasting display in cut flower arrangements. This specimen was often worn in lapels of the courting gentleman of days past, hence the common name bachelor button.

It’s a vigorous plant commonly found growing among the grain crops in farmers’ fields. It is also available in shades of pink, purple, red, and white, as well as bicolor combinations.

The plant known as the Bachelor’s Button also goes by other names such as cornflower and Centaurea. It is a hardy annual that most people find easy to grow.

The plant comes in colors from white to red, and by practicing dead heading the flowers, you can prolong the flowering period of this plant.

Bachelor’s Button grows with loose clusters of grey-green leaves that complement the flowers, which are blessed with an intense blue pigment.

They will bloom from June until August, and once established, they tolerate the most severe drought conditions. You can deadhead the flowers and save the seed for next year.

We’ll be sharing more about this flower in future.
